Work—Community Programming

In the afternoons, CDCA has implemented programs to enhance the community. There is a girl's group that focuses on improving self-confidence in adolescent girls and gives them a forum for discussing any problems or concerns.

A tutoring program offers educational resources for the entire community. Students come for help with their homework and adults come in order to learn to read and write or to study english.

Community workshops are held to inform the community of domestic violence, children's rights, medical opportunities and personal hygiene skills, amongst other topics.

The ultimate goal is to engage the community and have them take pride and ownership in their community. Educating the community will help them become successful individuals within the community.
